As the early bird deadline passed, there was still an opportunity to sign up for the Emerge national conference in Cancun Mexico at a regular price. I had the ‘early bird’ metaphor in mind, so I felt ‘indecisive iguana’ was an appropriate play on words for the headline copy. The original email showcases a blinking iguana which may have made a few recipients take a second look.
